I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
